Pump Selection

The heart of water garden is PUMP.

Our stocked range of more than 40 different models from 200 - 19 500L/hr offers a reliable pump for most water features, ponds and watergardens. For the difficult installation application, we have a range of 12v & 24v low voltage pond pump models from 350 - 5000L/hr.

Choose your capacity

Most home garden waterfalls are 600 - 900 mm high (2 - 3 feet) for which a pump of 2000 litres per hour capacity would be appropriate. This may sound a lot but it means the waterfall itself will be 5- 6 " (up to 150 mm.) wide and this happens to look right in an average size pond, which usually falls within the range of 1200 x900mm (4' x 3')to 2700x2100mm (9'x7').

For bigger waterfalls in larger pools, work on about 45000 litres per hour per foot of waterfalls width.
Faor a smaller waterfalls with minimum lift or a spray only, 1200 litres per hour would be sufficient.
